Which Resin Use in RO Plant Softener?

Water treatment RO plant & softener resin (water softening resin) there's two basic varieties of resin cation-exchange and anion-exchange resin. The following ions are generally observed in hard water- Cations

• Calcium(Ca2+)

• Magnesium (Mg2+)

• Sodium (Na+)

• Potassium (K+)

Anions

• Chloride (Cl-)

• Bicarbonate (HCO3)

• Nitrate (N032-)

• Carbonate (cO32-)
  

Principal raw water is passed via two small polystyrenes natural process resin (bead-filled) beds. While the cations get exchanged with hydrogen ions within the first bed, the anions are exchanged with hydroxyl ions, within the other.
